Classroom Tech Setup

  1. Turn on the projector using the remote (usually white or gray)
  2. Connect your device using the HDMI cable at the teacher station
  3. If using a Chromebook, select "Mirror" or "Extend" from the display settings
  4. Adjust volume using the projector remote or classroom audio panel
  5. When finished, turn off the projector using the power button (press twice)

  1. Connect your Chromebook to the HDMI cable
  2. Click the time area in the bottom-right corner of your screen
  3. Select the display icon (looks like a rectangle with a line)
  4. Choose "Mirror Built-in Display" to show the same content on both screens
  5. Adjust your Chromebook volume to control the audio level

  1. Ensure your device is connected to both the display and audio system
  2. For YouTube/Vimeo, use the full-screen option for best quality
  3. Pre-load videos before class to avoid buffering delays
  4. Use the classroom audio controls to adjust volume to appropriate levels
  5. For accessibility, enable captions when available

  1. Power off and unplug the device before cleaning
  2. Use only approved electronics cleaning wipes
  3. For screens, wipe gently in one direction (no circular motions)
  4. For keyboards, turn device upside down to remove debris, then wipe
  5. Allow devices to dry completely before powering on

Accounts & Access

  • Google / Gmail

    District accounts use your school email. Password recovery requires IT assistance.

  • ClassLink / Clever

    Single sign-on launchpad for district applications. Access through your Google account.

  • SIS / Aspen

    Student Information System for attendance, grades, and student data. Staff access requires training.

  • Testing apps

    Kiosk mode, headphones, and pop-up blockers must be configured before testing sessions.
